Work begins today on long-awaited safety improvements at the road junction where traffic from Exeter on the A30 enters Honiton.
Up until now there have been long tailbacks at peak times, with queues extending back on to the A30.
The new scheme will improve traffic flow by widening the road and introducing a mini roundabout.
However there will be some disruption during the 20 weeks of the work.
