    Police surround "unconscious" driver in Marsh Barton

    He is believed to be under the influence of drink and drugs.

    Officers say a member of the public called to report the BMW's "erratic" driving just after 5.30am (Friday 19th July).

    They found the car on Grace Road Central, just outside the Parcelforce Worldwide depot on the Marsh Barton Trading Estate just before 6.00am.

    The vehicle - driven by a man and carrying 3 passengers, was surrounded by 4 police cars and a van. 

    Officers found the driver unconscious - believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 

    An ambulance arrived on the scene at around 6.30am, as the police van was seen driving away from the scene. The Force Incident Manager confirmed the driver will be arrested.
