Police are appealing for witnesses after two collisions on the A38 near Exeter at the weekend. One man died at the scene and another is in hospital with serious injuries.
The A38 was closed for more than eight hours on Saturday following two serious collisions.
The driver of a lorry died after he lost control of his vehicle at 6.10am on Saturday near Chudleigh.
The HGV, which was travelling towards Plymouth on the A38, ended up on the other side of the road. No other vehicle was involved.
The second collision occured on Haldon Hill when a silver van hit a lorry which was stuck in traffic caused by the first incident.
The van driver was airlifted to hospital with serious face and leg injuries.
Police are asking for anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.
