Exeter house party broken up
Just hours into the new lockdown, Exeter police broke up a party in central Exeter.
Around 30 people were illegally together indoors at what's described as a large house party on the Wrentham Estate in the St Sidwell's area of the city.
Inspector Colin Harper said: “This party shows a clear breach of the covid-19 restrictions and a complete disregard of not only the rules but for public health.
“Officers attended the address where we resorted to issuing out 17 fines to individuals. We hope that this serves as a reminder to those considering to flout the rules- we will take action.”
