Collision on A30 on Tuesday
An Okehampton man has died in a crash on the A30.
Emergency services were called around 6.15pm on Tuesday following a collision between a silver Ford Focus and a parked lorry in a layby on the A30 westbound between Stowford Cross and Liftondown.
The car driver, who was in his 50s, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The HGV driver was uninjured.
The road was closed for more than six hours for a forensic examination of the scene to take place.
Officers are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and asking for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them. They would also like to hear from anyone who may have relevant dash cam footage.
