The man wanted in connection with his mother's death in Exmouth has been found and is in police custody.
Andrew Cane was arrested in Gloucester just after midnight on Saturday morning. He's being held in Exeter awaiting interview.
It follows an appeal by the man's father to give himself up to the police to prevent further grief for the family, although it's not clear if he presented himself to police voluntarily.
Cane had last been seen in Bristol after the the body of 63-year old Linda Sheard was found in the Brixington area of Exmouth on Wednesday.
