    First Syrian refugees arrive in Exeter

    Exeter's welcomed its first two families of refugees fleeing the war in Syria.

    The city's hoping to find accommodation for eight families. But right now a shortage of private housing for rent is preventing more from coming here. 

    The refugees aren't being placed in council houses, costs are being covered by the government's overseas aid budget.
