The mayor of Exmouth is predicting this will be a good year for the tourist trade.
As well as its annual festival, which attracts large numbers of visitors, the town will be hosting the British Life Saving Sport Surf Championships for the second year.
And two of Exmouth's tourism businesses, World of Country Life and Stuart Line Cruises, have won golds in the Visit Devon awards.
Bill Nash says events and attractions will also be much better promoted this year - thanks to improvements to the tourist information office and better publications.
