Car, caravan and three properties affected
Police in Dartmouth are investigating after a car fire in Dartmouth on Wednesday evening spread to a caravan and three domestic properties.
A number of calls were received to reports of the car on fire in Dartmouth. The first fire crew on the scene from the town requested further fire appliances to attend, two from Paignton and one from Brixham. In addition the fire service's environmental protection unit from Newton Abbot was requested to help with water and fuel run-off.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue says that a private car and one caravan were severely damaged by fire and three separate private properties were effected by external heat damage.
Devon County Highways and the Environment Agency were informed and the incident was left in the hands of police.
