A man in his 20s has been arrested
A woman has been left with a fractured jaw during an assault in Plymouth City Centre.
The incident took place at around 2:50pm on Monday 11 July near the entrance to the Old Town Street entrance of the Drake Circus Shopping Centre, close to the Vodafone store.
The woman in her 20's was with a group of friends when she was approached by a man before the altercation began. The man then punched her in the face.
The victim and the suspect are known to each other.
As a result, a man in his 20s from Plymouth has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm with intent and has been released on bail until 20 August pending further enquiries.
