A new speedway stadium for Exeter could be moving a step closer. The people behind the scheme are preparing a detailed proposal for the city council - prior to applying for outline planning permission.
Speedway fans Robert Doran and Alan Spencer say they're very happy with the way their project is going - but they're determined to do everything by the book and not risk wasting any money.
So far they've identified a suitable site and carried out noise tests - which showed the sound of the bikes would be far lower than the permitted limit.
They've also taken expert advice on every aspect of the scheme including road layout, environment, water and health and safety, and their proposal covering all these issues will be submitted to the city council. Any problems identified will be dealt with, before they apply for outline permission
