A vehicle has overturned after hitting flood water
Severe weather is continuing to cause problems across parts of the county.
Earlier this morning [Sunday], the main road between Totnes and Kingsbridge was blocked when a vehicle overturned after hitting flood water, and police are warning drivers in the area to slow down.
It comes after people reportedly become trapped inside a Newton Abbot pub last night, after the waters of the River Teign came through an open floodgate.
A Met Office yellow warning for heavy rain remains in force until 5pm this evening [Sunday]. They warn that spray and flooding on roads may make journey times longer, particularly public transport, whilst some interruption to power supplies and other services is also likely.
Dozens of flood alerts are also in place across the region. Details of the areas impacted can be found here.
