Businesses are being told to use reputable companies for tool sharpening
Police in Devon are warning businesses to be wary of rogue traders offering tool sharpening services.
They say rogue traders are approaching businesses and offering to take a few tools to demonstrate their skill and provide an estimate, they then return with the tools and demand money from the business.
Officers say businesses should not agree to work/services offered by unsolicited visitors. They are advising people to get recommendations and use reputable businesses.
If you see cold callers or have any concerns please contact the police by phoning 101 or emailing 101@dc.police.uk
