Trees overhanging a railway line in Exeter will have to be cut back for safety reasons.
Network Rail has told the city council that trains are clipping the ends of the branches of the trees at Flowerpot Fields, and the foliage can also affect drivers' visibility.
Some of the trees will have to be cut down, others trimmed back.
The work will take place over a two-week period next month.
