Shops on Queen Street closed & lessons cancelled at Exeter College
Parts of the EX1 and EX4 postcodes were affected by a power cut this lunchtime (Wednesday 23rd January)
Western Power distribution says the fault was reported at 1330 when 764 properties were affected. By 1405 power was restored to most of those properties. 101 were left without power after problems with an underground cable near the Clock Tower.
Exeter College cancelled lessons and some shops on Queen Street closed as they were plunged into darkness.

The provider tweeted to say everything was back to normal at 1500.
