Two men suffer head injuries
Two people have been badly hurt in a plane crash on the Devon/Dorset border,
The light aircraft came down near a solar panel farm outside Axminster around 1.30 p.m. on Tuesday.
Fire crews from the town were joined by ones from Middlemoor and Lyme Regis, together with an air ambulance. Two men on board were out of the plan by the time emergency services arrived, but both had head injuries; one is said to be in a life-changing condition.
The aircraft missed the solar panels at Blackpool Cross.
The aircraft went up in flames after hitting the ground and has been 70 per cent damaged by fire.
The cause of the incident will be the subject of an Air Accident Investigation Board enquiry in due course.
