The important work Police Community Support Officers do in Devon and Cornwall is being highlighted as 190 posts face being cut.
An online petition has been launched by a Devon County Councillor concerned at losing her local PCSO in Ottery St Mary.
The petition will be handed to the Devon and Cornwall Police and Crime Commissioner who announced the cuts last month as part of future plans for the force.
Claire Wright is the County Councillor for Ottery St Mary, she says it is very frustrating when the police have announced they have an extra £24 million.
