It's been revealed that staff in some areas of Devon's health service are concerned about patient safety, but are too afraid for their jobs to report their worries to managers.
The information's come from Healthwatch Devon after the employees spoke to them in confidence, reporting problems with patient transport, hospital staffing and the111 helpline.
Now Healthwatch is urging any local NHS staff with concerns to report them online under a national initiative called Freedom to Speak Up - aimed at creating a climate of openness within the health service.
