Exeter's Science Park is to benefit from nearly £1.4 million from Devon County Council.
The funding will ensure that vital infrastructure work is completed.
£2.5 million worth of work on access roads, car parks, pedestrian facilities and technical support was needed at the Exeter Global Environmental Futures Campus, centred around the Met Office's supercomputer facility.
Devon county councillors heard that while some of it is already finished, projects costed at just under £1.4 million are still outstanding and are needed to meet the challenging targets for the opening of the Met Office buildings.
They have agreed to contribute the necessary amount, using Growth Deal funding awarded in April.
The committee also heard that while difficult market conditions have stalled development at the Science Park, there have been recent signs of improvement with a number of new enquiries about buildings or space within the Science Park Centre.
