Plans to build a £40 million pound retail park at Exeter's police headquarters have been deferred.
Councillors unanimously voted to defer plans to build a new retail park on an eight acre plot at Middlemoor at an Exeter City Council meeting on Monday night.
The planning application includes eight new retail unites, three food and drink restaurants, and a gym, along with 417 car park spaces.
Exeter City Council planners deferred the application after the developers asked for more time to resolve issues with Devon County Council’s Highways Department.
The development will help to fund a new criminal justice centre and police hub that is currently being built at Middlemoor.
The next meeting of Exeter City Council’s planning committee is at the end of October.
