Women taken to hospital
Fore Street in Cullompton is closed in both directions due to an accident near the Manor Hotel.
BBC Travel SouthWest tweeted: "There’s lots of queuing traffic in the area and as a result, Tiverton road is very busy as people look for a way round."
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Officers and paramedics attended the scene and the female pedestrian has been taken to hospital.
"The extent of her injuries is not currently known".
