Devon has some of the lowest rates of truancy in the country.
New Government figures reveal that Devon is among the top 10% of local authorities for its high attendance levels.
Only 2.9% of children miss 15% or more school time. That's way below the national average of 4.6%. In the South West the overall figure is 3.7%.
Of 150 locals councils responsible for education in England, only 13 have better figures than Devon.
