No animals reported hurt though
A horse box lorry has been deliberately set on fire in an overnight attack on a vehicle in Newton Abbot.
A number of people reported the blaze in Market Street to fire service around 3.30 a.m. on Saturday. Two fire engines from Newton Abbot were mobilised.
They found the lorry well alight on what they describe as 'open ground.'
The horse box lorry has been completely destroyed by the fire which was believed to have been set deliberately. The police have been notified.
