Following on from the huge fire that devastated historical buildings in the centre of Exeter, a fund has been set up to help those affected.
In partnership with Exeter City Council, the Devon Community Foundation has set up a fund to accept donations in the aftermath of the fire that raged in Cathedral Green at the weekend.
Launched last night, the fundraising page had already attracted nerly £1,000 by this morning.
Those behind the Historic Exeter Fire Appeal say that any money raised will go towards those affected by the blaze including staff who may have lost their jobs or other support and counselling.
Some of the cash may also help to support the sympathetic restoration of the buildings.
