A vigilante known as the Bromley Batman is reported to have saved a woman from a mugger in Exeter.
She and her partner were walking in the city centre at about 11pm when a man attacked them.
But she says he was thwarted when a tall, masked, black-clad figure appeared from the shadows and fought the would-be mugger off.
The mystery man matches the description of the Bromley Batman who patrols the streets of the borough protecting the public - and has also been seen in Cornwall.
