Action's being taken to stop the railway arches in Exeter's St Thomas being used for drinking, drug taking and anti-social behaviour.
Local residents have been plagued with problems caused by people sleeping rough under the arches.
Now the city council is to clean them up and remove the rubbish and drug paraphernalia, before fencing them off securely.
The council says it and other organisations have been working hard to help the people involved get off the streets - but the problems have become so bad that blocking access to the arches is the only thing to do.
