WATCH: Supporters give heroic applaud after nine months away
For the first time in nine months, Exeter Chiefs fans were back at Sandy Park to watch their double-winning champions beat Glasgow 42-0 in round one of the Champions Cup.
2,000 supporters in total braved the wet and cold conditions to salute Baxter’s domestic and European champions – who look a formidable force once more this season.
And for their first game back, they were treated to a record-breaking contest, it was Exeter's biggest-ever European win.
At full time, the players walked around the stadium to thank the fans - and the home supporters responded with a heroic applaud. Take a look in the short video above (Video: Natalie Cole).
