Exeter Citizens Advice Bureau has welcomed a fall of 48 per cent in the number of local families facing repossession of their council homes.
The overall number of repossession cases, across all housing sectors, is down by just under 12%.
However there HAS been a steep rise in the number of people seeking help from the CAB over mortgage or rent arrears, leading to concerns that some of them could face repossession in future if their finances don't improve.
