VIDEO: More than 300 people take part in weekly event
In fantastic, sunny conditions (yes, in April) last week’s Exeter Parkrun saw 315 people run, walk and jog their way around Exeter Quay.
The free event, which takes place every Saturday morning, encourages people of all abilities to get active and enjoy the wonderful scenery Exeter has to offer.
Last week, 48 of the 115 people who took part were first timers - one of them was Helen Aplin from Exeter. "It was one of my challenges that I wanted to achieve this year," she said.
"I didn't think I'd ever be able to run this distance, and now I know I can do it. It's just amazing."
The Parkrun's race director Dennis Hall, added: "Parkrun is open to everybody and it's a very welcoming community. Come along, walk, run and get physical once a week and meet some great people."
