Two people seriously hurt in Whipton
A 40-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and causing grievous bodily harm with intent in relation to two alleged assaults in Exeter.
Dwayne Huggins, of Old Tiverton Road, is due to appear before magistrates sitting in Exeter today.
Police launched an investigation after a man and a woman, aged in their 30s and 20s respectively, sustained serious injuries in an alleyway in the Barberry Close area of Whipton on Thursday 6 May.
The man remains in hospital in a stable condition.
