There's been a fire in the Exeter branch of McDonalds in the High Street. It broke out in a kitchen at about 9.30 this morning and spread to other parts of the building.
Several nearby buildings were evacuated.
At its height there were about 40 firefighterrs at the scene - who managed to prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
By early afternoon it was under control but the building remained cordoned off.
An investigation will look into the cause of the fire but it's not being treated as suspicious.
