Fundraiser in daily doses
An Exeter boy whose swimming activities have been curtailed because of lockdown is running 100k instead,
Ben Greenslade is developing calves like rocks on his daily run around the city - and capturing beautiful scenery as well as doses of fresh air. The nine-year-old is taking the run in daily doses of 5k and, as well as keeping fit on his daily activity allowance is raising money for Dartmoor Zoo.
He says: "I love animals and I love Dartmoor, so was really sad to hear that Dartmoor Zoo is struggling for money to feed and look after all its animals during the lockdown. I like running; however, it will be a real challenge to run 5km every day but it will be worth it if I can do something to help the animals. I really don't want the zoo to close so if you can sponsor me I would be really grateful. Thank you from me and all the animals at Dartmoor Zoo."
