It happened near Arlington, 10 days ago.
Police have confirmed 77 year old Samuel Thomas from Rudruth, Cornwall died after a crash on the A39 at Beccott Cross.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 1000am on Tuesday 9th July to reports of a crash involving a Blue Rover 25 and a black Land Rover Freelander.
Both the driver and front seat passenger of the Rover were taken to North Devon District Hospital by ambulance.
But the driver of the Rover died on Monday (15th July) in hospital.
A local male driving the Freelander was unhurt.
