Three lifeboats and helicopter in rescue
A diver has been taken to hospital following an incident off Holcombe in South Devon.
Initially, it was thought that the casualty had been swimming in the area on Wednesday evening.
Exmouth RNLI were called out by the coastguard just after 6 p.m. to a report of an unresponsive swimmer in the sea off Holcombe and launched both the inshore and larger all-weather lifeboats.
A crew from Teignmouth RNLI launched its lifeboat too, and the coastguard helicopter went up to assist.
The diver was taken on board the Teignmouth lifeboat, given emergency first aid and taken back to the town's lifeboat station where he was treated by an ambulance crew before being going to hospital.
