101 number not working
Devon and Cornwall police's IT systems suffered a glitch on Saturday morning that's wiped out the non-emergency number.
The force has asked people only to contact them in an emergency, which means dailing 999. Major control rooms at Middlemoor, Exeter and Plymouth are operating with pen and paper. It's understood the systems crashed around 5am, leading to staff turning off the 101 non-emergency number.
In a Tweet, police have asked that people contact them using the 101 email system. It's not thought to be working, but they will catch up with less urgent messages later. The address is 101@dc.police.co.uk
