A 58 year old man is described as in a critical condition by police, after the forklift truck he was driving at the weekend crashed.
Just before 7pm on Saturday 16th July 2016, police were notified of a serious injury road traffic collision near Loosedon Lodge, Winkleigh.
The local man was driving a fork lift truck from the direction of Loosedon Barton towards Loosedon Cross when the vehicle tipped over on a bend in the road. The vehicle landed on its nearside, trapping the driver from the waist down beneath the vehicle.
The casualty was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, where he currently remains in a critical condition.
Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit attended the scene and are appealing for witnesses to come forward and contact 101, quoting log number 814 of 16th July.
