The South West will get its first female Bishop today after a ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral.
The Reverend Dame Sarah Mullally is a former Chief Nursing Officer for England who was ordained in 2001.
Her consecration will be carried out this afternoon by the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, and she's due to take become Bishop of Crediton later this year.
The Church changed rules last year to allow women Bishops.
She'll take up her post as Bishop of Crediton in September and says she's looking forward to getting to know Devon.
