A major upgrade of the car parks at Exeter's Westpoint is underway..... to prevent a repeat of this year's cancellation of the last day of the Devon County Show.
Heavy rain turned the grass fields used for parking into a quagmire and the final day had to be called off.
However the recent dry weather has enabled work to be carried out to make the land more resistant to rain... with sub-soiling, infilling, levelling and seeding.
New tracks are also being created with crushed concrete.
