VIDEO: It's feeling positive
After three-and-a-half months of winter hibernation, life is beginning to return to some degree of normality in Devon.
On Exmouth seafront on the first day of the easing of lockdown restrictions on Monday, Edge Watersports were seeing happy people both for kit and clothing, and also for the cafe. Michael Caines new venture, the first in what he intends to be a franchise of a quality patisserie and glacerie - along with his partner Sylvain Peltier (both pictured) - held a private event as a dress rehearsal for opening its outside terrace to customers on Tuesday.
At the Topsham Bookshop, Lily Neal says she's been missing her customers. "I've been missing all the personalities," she says. "We have a lot of people who come regularly here and it's very sad not to see, basically, your friends."
Paul Berman of Love Topsham says it's a wonderful community. They've done much to promote which businesses have been open when, and now, finally, for the first time since 4 January, many are back.
