Concerns are being raised about plans for a new cycle bridge in Topsham, costing around £2.5 million.
Devon County Council's plans for the construction of a new bridge going from Topsham and over the River Clyst to join the trail to Exton, are being discussed today.
However the Topsham Community Association believes the money would be better spent making the existing route via Fisher's Mill Bridge safer.
It's also expressed concerns about additional traffic in the town.
The path would run through the RSPB's Goosemoor Nature Reserve
