So-called 'hate crimes' motivated by people's race, religion, sexuality or disability are still massively under-reported in Devon, according to local agencies.
Last year 603 crimes or other incidents such as verbal abuse were reported to police, but national research suggests that the actual number could be five times that level.
All this week events are taking place across the county to raise awareness and encourage anyone targeted in this way to report it.
