Police update on Monday's incident
Police say two men who have serious injuries following a disturbance in Barnstaple on Monday afternoon were stabbed.
They were called to Bear Street in the town at around 4.20pm following reports of a disorder involving three people.
The injured men are both in their 30s remain in hospital in serous but stable conditions.
A 40-year-old man from Barnstaple has been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.
People are still asked to avoid the Bear Street area of Barnstaple, following a seriously incident which has left two people in hospital with serious injuries.
