Plans for a solar power generating plant at Tedburn St Mary have been turned down by local councillors.
The proposal for the 20-hectare site was recommended for conditional approval.
But 11 councillors voted to refuse the application, four supported it and there was one abstention.
A previous application for the plant was also turned down in July and it's understood that this refusal was for the same reasons.. namely that its size, location and appearance would spoil the landscape and go against local planning policy.
