The number of home repossession cases brought by social landlords in the Exeter area has risen by 18 per cent, compared to last year.
But many of the tenants have avoided losing their homes, thanks to the citizens advice bureau which has an adviser at the court each Tuesday morning when the repossession cases are heard.
The presence of the adviser is funded by the city council - who're very keen to help people remain in their homes.
