Devon's snow warden scheme is extending to Exeter ahead of the coming winter.
The County Council set up the initiative last year, with 235 people signing up to help in rural towns and villages.
It's now asking residents' groups to nominate snow wardens for the city - they'll recieve training and salt from the council, and be the the point of contact for Highway authorities.
Devon’s 8,000 mile road network is bigger than any other local authority in the country.
