Three fires in four days
Police are appealing for witnesses following a number of suspected arson attacks in Torrington.
A series of fires in the Torridge Vale area of the town are believed to be linked.
A police spokesperson said: “We are seeking information following a recent spate of suspected arson attacks on vehicles and caravans in the area.
“On Thursday 7 July at around 9 p.m. officers were notified following reports of a fire at a caravan on Rolle Road in Torringdon.
“The second incident happened in the early hours of Friday 8 July on South Street. An unknown offender set a vehicle alight before fleeing the scene.
“The latest incident took place on Rolle Road in Torringdon Vale on Sunday 10 July between 9 p.m. and 1.30 a.m. on Monday 11 July. A caravan was set on fire resulting in significant damage.
“No injuries were reported in any of the incidents; however, they could have had serious consequences.
