Man arrested
Police are appealing for witnesses after a racially aggravated incident at an Exeter restaurant.
Two men were subjected to racially abusive remarks by another man at Al Farid Restaurant on Cathedral Green between 5pm and 5.30pm on Tuesday 18 August.
A 35-year-old man from Exeter has been arrested on suspicion of two counts of racially aggravated public order. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Police are investigating and would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the incident or overheard any of the words said.
