The family of a man, who died after collapsing in a police cell in Exeter, will meet England's Chief Prosecutor today.
Thirty two year old Thomas Orchard died nearly two years ago and this afternoon his mother, Alison, will ask why it's taken so long for her to be told what happened.
She also wants to know whether any police officers will be prosecuted in connection with his death.
The Crown Prosecution Service says a report from the Independent Police Complaints Commission identified matters needing further investigation .... some involving the Health and Safety Executive... and it's awaiting the outcome of those inquiries.
