It happened on New Years Day
The incident took place at around 3:30am on Tuesday 1st January in Torquay outside the entrance to the park in Ellacombe Road.
The victim, an 18-year-old woman, was walking along Market Street when she was confronted by two women.
These two woman then assaulted the victim who sustained a black eye and a broken ankle.
The suspects are described as both in their late teens / early 20s. One suspect is described as white, 5ft7ins in height, medium length black hair and wearing large hooped ear rings.
The second suspect is a white female, short light hair which was long on one side and shaved on the other.
Police are appealing for witnesses and would like to speak to anyone who was in the area prior to the attack, or anyone who has information that can assist police with the investigation.
