Murder investigation continues
It's been revealed that police went to a property Plymouth to investigate concerns for the welfare of a woman hours before she was later found dead.
A 32-year-old man from the city is now being questioned for a second day on suspicion of murder.
Devon and Cornwall Police say they attended an address on Colwill Road around 1.20 a.m. on Wednesday.
Following initial enquiries, they went back later that morning and found a 58-year-old woman dead.
Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of death. Formal identification is yet to take place.
It is believed that the victim and suspect were known to each other.
Police are asking for anyone with information or dashcam footage that could help with enquiries to call them on 101.
